Game Design

As a game designer, I focus on creating experiences that bring people together. Through Shally Games, I’ve developed original tabletop titles like Sheep & Wolves: The Last Survivor, organized game nights and community competitions, and designed educational activities for schools and events. My work spans from early digital puzzle games with tens of thousands of downloads, to experimental prototypes with emerging technologies, to culturally rooted board games that spark dialogue and strategy. Over time, I’ve realized that nothing matches the power of face-to-face play as the epitome of social gaming which is why I now dedicate my focus to tabletop and community-driven experiences.

Sheep & Wolves: The Last Survivor (2024)

Shally Games, Arabic

A fast-paced, competitive card game for 2–10 players. Each player must protect their flock of sheep while wolves lurk in the forest, waiting for the chance to strike. With clever use of action cards, players defend, sabotage, and outwit each other until only one flock survives. Easy to learn, quick to play, and full of twists, the game combines strategy, social interactions, and a dash of chaos in every round.

Salad Warfare (2017)

Experiemental, Unreleased

Created during a local hackathon, Salad Warfare was an experimental RTS game where mutated vegetables merged with everyday objects to wage war for world domination. Players deployed units from opposite sides of the screen, clashing in a battle of strategy and timing. Although only developed as a demo, the project reflects my early explorations in game design and real-time strategy mechanics.

League of Mysteries (2016)

Mobile Puzzle Game — Android

A sequel to League of Fours, this fan-made puzzle game challenged players to identify League of Legends champions based on textual hints rather than images. Building on the success of the original, League of Mysteries refined the puzzle mechanics and offered a new way for fans to test their lore knowledge. The title is now outdated and has been removed from Google Play.

League of Fours (2015)

Mobile Puzzle Game, Android (50K+ downloads)

A fan-made puzzle game inspired by League of Legends, where players guessed the champion based on four lore-related images. Released on Android and downloaded over 50,000 times, the game demonstrated my ability to connect gameplay mechanics with community-driven content. Although now outdated and removed from Google Play, it marked a milestone in my early career as a game designer.

Adventures of Talal & Aisha (2014)

Prototype, Nazareth Makeathon

A Leap Motion–based scroller game inspired by Flappy Bird, created for the first Nazareth Makeathon. Players controlled either Talal or Aisha, navigating everyday struggles faced by Arab high schoolers. The project explored motion-control technology as a storytelling tool and connected gameplay mechanics with local cultural themes.

Dungeon Scroller (2014)

Prototype, Intel RealSense Hackathon

An experimental side-scrolling adventure in the style of Limbo, developed during an Intel RealSense hackathon before the technology’s public release. The game featured boss fights and innovative facial-expression controls: players’ movements and strength were tied to their real-time expressions, testing the limits of depth-perception technology in gameplay.
